I have always thought those icons spread across the Rift.....

are just a random symbols made by the artist(s) for signaturing purposes, or they represent Baron's dominion across the land (because they really do look like simplified version of Baron's head aye).

But turns out, it's Bard's personal symbol and runes for his magic portal. Because he is a wandering celestial traveler after all, apparently he has always been there we just never saw/notice him.

Or plot twist, what if...................... he is the REAL Baron??????!!!!!!

I am really looking forward to see/own him, especially for his theme touching on Miyazaki films which I have fond memories of (Spirited Away is the best).
