Restrictions on Logging in from another computer?

So my cousin is going to be staying with us for a while, and we'll be sharing computers since he won't have his. I heard also that you can get banned for logging on another computer? I don't know if this is true or not but I heard many different things on this topic. Can someone explain this to me?
