WTF bullshit lag moment?

I was playing renekton support in a normal game (im breaking the meta, fight me) and i died. I walked back to lane, and as soon as i walked in lane i started moving towards the enemy kalista to attack her for no reason. After i died my connection went back to normal which was 35 ping. Is this just a coincidence and bad luck?
