Can we get a better system for spectating matches?

Occasionally, I like to sit back and spectate random matches. It's relaxing and sometime it's nice to watch your favorite champ used by someone else.

However, sometimes i want to spectate a game that has champs people don't use (often) like Quinn, Syndra, or even Urgot. Or maybe someone using a champ I want to buy but want to see how they're played before spending IP on them. But alas, it's annoying shuffling through the spectating box, hoping a specific champion appear. Is there some way Riot can do something like a search system? There's another MOBA game that does this by typing in a character I want to see and they offer a list of matches I can watch. I like that but I love playing (and watching) LoL more.

I feel there's a lot of potential but it seems it's being ignored and the spectating box on the homepage is just "there" for the sake of being "there".
