Is a larger view of the champion pool in champ selection being talked about at all?

I think it's somewhat frustrating and unintuitive that the amount of champions you see in champ select is much smaller now. While I love the new look of everything, this really bothers me. With the older one, it's much easier to scan all ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY NINE champions to see if there's a better option in my arsenal than the one I've already got in my mind. Any thoughts or previous discussions on this?
