Why have people been up in so much arms about AP Supports?

When if you step wrong once level 2 against a cait, you lose a ss or die if you're not full hp? Espeially if they lane with a karma as they always seem to be. It feels like a lot of similar bullying but does no one cares cuz it's the adc 'and tha'ts according to plan'?
