Corsair Scimitar key binding issue

i just got the corsair scimitar and i created a custom profile. I got all of the thumb buttons to do exactly what i wanted, but the 2 mouse buttons behind the mouse wheel are not doing what i want. I created an action to set the first one to register as M, but it still retains the original function, which is to change which profile is active. Likewise, i set the one behind it to H, and that one retains the function of changing the DPI, also incredibly harmful. How do i strip the keys of their original
