PLEASE PLEASE RITO SAVE ME SOMEONE HELP

So I have a master yi project shard and I was saving up with orange essence to get it. I even got a project leona shard and disenchanted it. But when I did i was about 400 essence away from yi. At this point I was at 1 chest and 2 key fragments but a month came by and none showed up. However, after a month I finally got a key fragment but when I opened the chest I got a ward skin! I disenchanted it but now I am 32 essence away from yi. Riot I understand if I can't get special treatment and be given essence but I was wondering if there was any way to earn essence online or make key fragments more common.
