You can only do Baron if Dragon is alive.

Hi, my suggestion: You can only do Baron if Dragon is alive. As soon as Dragon dies Baron get's shielded and no damage can be done to him and he can't be killed This is like my first suggestion so don't rage on me please. This is just some food for thought. Below is the list of some of the advantages I could think of this implementation :

  1. Consider a solo-queue game which is going dead even, say 30 minutes in-game and someone on your team disconnects ( let's just assume it's accidental and he's gonna be back in like 3 or 4 minutes ). This forces you to go on defensive and wait for him/her to reconnect but what happens is enemy team kills Baron and they now they are even more invincible and they end the game. This type of scenario is especially bad in high elo, no chance of a comeback. But my suggestion gives teams a little more chance to delay and make a comeback.

  2. This will make not only solo queue much more strategic and fun but also competitive play will be more interesting.

  3. While Dragon is a hotly contested objective early game, it's importance just falls of late game ( I know they are trying to change that in s4 but I don't think it will change much as Baron becomes much more important and game breaking). My suggestion fixes that.

  4. Who doesn't like to see comebacks. This will allow much more comebacks and twists. making the e-sports scene that much fun and interesting.

So please feel free to discuss the pros and cons of this scenario. I really hope Riot considers and implements this in s4 :).

  1. A scenario which assumes a disconnect/AFK is not a scenario for a major game change. Even if we take your scenario into account, this means that you will 4v5 at dragon instead of baron.

  2. Why would it be more strategic and fun? You'd have one team desperately killing dragon while other team does baron in some cases, and then dragon team will kill dragon, baron team will have a bunch of damage from baron with nothing to show for it...and in the end, everyone will usually just for dragon.

  3. Baron would be pointless. A jungler can take out dragon by himself quicker than some groups can take out dragon. Everyone will just aim to rid the map of dragon...how is this suggestion fixing anything?

  4. Why would it allow comebacks over the current system?

yeah. sorry mate. i think this is a bad idea. dragon is being increased in value as the game progresses to increase it's relevance. and baron buff is being changed to prevent it from being a curb stomp buff.

plus with the changes to the inhibs. i feel like this would make baron completely useless. i mean you would change the strategy to silliness. you'd be building a team who's role was to 2 or 3 man baron while distracting the other team with the rest as they try to take dragon. or you would have both teams ignoring baron and just making sure dragon was down constantly. sorry man.

i don't think it's a good idea.

While I'm all for comebacks and stuff, this change isn't very intuitive.

Let me give you a scenario:

Lets say your team is winning say, 45/29 & 7/1 in towers. You have dragon and baron pink warded without either being a hot area. Your team comp is Elise/Jinx/Blitz/Ahri/Renekton. For sake of efficiency, Renekton to take out Dragon really quick then Teleport to the Ward at baron. However, your proposed change makes it quite a pickle. They have to now coordinate killing Baron before dragon dies. If they mess up then it just winds up being a bunch of wasted time. I don't think this change is a good idea because again, its counter-intuitive. As it stands, establishing control of any and all creep camps including Baron/Dragon has a purpose and creates an edge for the team that secures them.
Furthermore, the way it stands right now, a high point of priority is maintaining 100% dragon control. Even if your team doesn't maintain 100% dragon control, someone on the enemy team most likely is going to kill it as soon as it comes up if you don't. Becuase of this, dragon is most likely always going to be dead, which, following your proposed changes, Baron will always have a shield up on him. So if Baron always has a shield up on him, whats the point of even having Baron in the game.

You should think your ideas through before you post them.
