400 Teamwork, No ribbon

Why cant i get a ribbon, I have won over 1500 games and lost just as many, But ever since they released the ribbons, I have never got one, I Just want riot to say how it works. I've looked all over the internet and cant find the information on how to get a ribbon. I feel like they didn't think of the older players from season 2, like me. People with less then 200 wins have the ribbon. Please explain. It just doesn't seem fair.
