Smurf- to learn new roll.

On my main i support and after my placement matches for ranked i realized that i need to learn a carry roll cause as a support i can't change the tides enough for my team if they are bad. When i have a decent/good ADC I can get him fed and do good but to many times I get those who want to first time a roll or champ in a ranked game which got me placed Silver 4. What lane should I learn on my smurf to better carry a team? I've tried Akali and like how she plays but I'm open to any suggestions.

Classic issue, I would suggest mid or jungle for maximum roaming possibility.

However, an incoming Team Builder update is actually coming that will change your MMR based on how often you've played that champ in a role. In other words playing a champ in a role you haven't played will actually bring your MMR down to slightly above a new level-30. At least that's the idea, it's still in PBE right now and was just recently put up for testing. But end of the day, wait a bit and you won't even need to smurf.

If you main support, I recommend picking up Jungle and ADC as your two other roles. Jungle and Support share a lot of the same duties in game (warding the map, initiating teamfights, setting up picks), and rely to a large degree on the same macro skills (map awareness, for instance). Also, since supports are the main ones who set up ganks in bot lane, having a stronger understanding of the jungler's role can improve your ability to help them.

ADC is sorta a no brainer, since you don't have to learn bot lane dynamics or matchups to pick the role up.

While Mid does have pretty good 'carry potential,' especially in lower Elo, it would likely be a more difficult role to become proficient at, considering that you're a support main.

Thank you both for the input, I half expected troll comments like I received in a palringo group that I've joined. I appreciate the advice perspectives given.

I feel like midlane is the easiest transition from support. You have some of the same champions and you can CS with abilities. The trouble with transitioning to midlane is learning how to deal with ganks and how/when to roam properly.
