In the recent post about the new client coming out and the profile page stuff, there was this:

We're cutting a few things from Profiles that weren't adding much. Statistics like "total takedowns" and "total creepscore" aren't meaningful for players who've been playing the game for any significant length of time. They don’t really say anything about you beyond "you sure have Leagued a lot of Legends."

What? Why are you removing such awesome features? Me and my friends would compare the stats compared to how long we have been playing. It would be like a contest to see who was doing better. And it's kind of interesting. That's like saying CoD and CSGO and other games should just remove stats like kill count and such. These aren't "useful" but they are the kind of things people look at for fun.

So I ask, what is the reason of just flat out removing them?
