I've been demoted throughout silver plenty of times. Once I got to gold though I was so ecstatic I just wanted to keep playing and progressing. But recently I've run into some serious blockades. I got up to around a good 30 or so LP and sat around there for a while. But then I got to zero and got demoted from a game I didn't even get to play in cause league crashed. Now its been a depressing slump back to silver 2 as of right now and thats within like 2 weeks. I've recently come to the boards to find and see if there's anyone who's hadplaying a similar experience but I just feel like I've been robbed and another thing I've noticed is that now once I get to 0 LP if I lose that next match its just automatic demotion. :( I really need some words of inspiration to get back into the fray and get to gold again, but its been agonizing lately with trolls. I always try to maintain a positive attitude but sometimes my emotions get in the way of my mechanics and decision making as with every player. If there's anyone that can share their hardships with me and just leave some words of encouragement in the comments it just might be what I need to start stepping my game back up.

I'm in Plat V now but I've been playing since season 1. I didn't really start taking ranked seriously until last season (near the end of it and I got Gold). Now I started playing again but I have a lot of lag (east coast player) so it's rough on me too. Sometimes the game never connects, or I'm stuck in lobby even though my friends tell me I'm in champ select on their end.

As for advice, I'd probably say start pacing yourself after you see yourself losing a lot. After I lose 2 matches in a row, I analyze what I did wrong in those matches and what I can do better next time to improve. Even if I had a DC/AFK/Troll, I think about the mistakes that I made (whether it's missing CS/not harassing/over-staying in lane) etc so that the next time I will do much better.

Just try and remember that everyone plays with the same pool of people, so the only factor you can change is yourself. Don't get discouraged and take breaks, watch streams of Pro-gamers, play normals/aram, and then play when you feel less anxious. Breaks and studying when you did wrong is the best thing you can do. Anytime I make a mistake in-game I can remember it pretty easily, so I don't need to watch my replays but I suggest you get a replay program to watch some of your matches. (I only watch replays when I feed/lose lane horribly so I can learn how to beat that match-up next time).

GL mate and you'll get back to Gold in no time just believe in yourself!

As a follow up to this I've been a passionate gamer since I was about 4 or 5. It wasn't till the beginning of high school though where my best friend introduced me to fighting games with vanilla street fighter 4 and shortly after Marvel vs. Capcom 2 when it was released on Xbox arcade when I found what genre of games that I just can't put down to this day... Competitive games. I started playing league around xeraths release and am surprised at how few other people I've come across in the real world that have the same drive to play these games other than my best friend and I introduced him to league. I guess this is me finally reaching out to the community I've so longly yearned to interact with. I just need some new friends who have the same intentions of climbing the ladder and having fun while doing it who won't stress after a loss cause most of my friends whom I play with don't like ranked and usually tilt after a loss or two when we are only playing normals.
