So I've been playing this game for a few years now and it was way better, till this season. Since the start of this season in every match there are trios of toxic ranked players who insist on talking crap and calling you trash because I don't play ranked. And yeah whatever; I don't really care about ranked. But that's what the community has turned into, if you don't play ranked you're "trash" and "nothing" but if you play ranked and are like silver you're still "trash". Where does it end? I have to literally try hard at ranked and be Diamond or Challenger to have skill? I thought this game was for fun and to enjoy play a game with people? But the thing that makes it all sad, is how if I was to play ranked, there they are. More people who think ranked is everything in this game. And aram's and normal's are places to feed and mess around. What about us that don't play ranked. Where can we play serious and have fun? Oh right; all the serious people who like to have fun people quit. The community now is Trolls, Ranked toxic people, AND that small amount of people like me that wish one day the old community will return. I'm not saying if you play ranked it's bad but do you really need to talk down to us that play for fun? We like to play serious in normal's, because its nice to win. And that doesn't mean tell me to play ranked for winning. I wanna win and have fun. Not win while being constantly being told "you're trash, get good, report this person for sucking, etc."

Am I the only one who feels like this?? Does anyone else even care anymore?? I get it this is a competitive game, but it used to be competitive AND fun.

Couldn't say it better myself, the game went from being fun, and those who wanted to take it to another competitive level would keep it in ranked, to people thinking ranked is absolutely everything everywhere even in fun modes, keep the ranked bullcrapery in ranked, and especially in your own tier, not like it really matters what tier you are anyway lmao.

I have fun when certain champions don't get picked

If I don't see Zed Blitzcrank Jhin Graves Lucian Quinn Udyr cancering it up on the enemy team then I can be expected to have a good ass time

It's not even that the game itself isn't fun; it's that some champions just ruin the quality of it so badly for me that I start tilting even when they don't show up after that.

I honestly ignore chat in most of my games. I find the game is way more enjoyable that way and it also helps me because I am less likely to reply with anything that could get me in trouble.

And most of the time i find people who put people down based on rank arent doing so hot themselves cause in the end they are in the same rank/mmr as me.

I understand your pain friend I really do but look at it this way you want to have fun... HAVE FUN but there should not be a a choice between wanting to have fun and winning. Its fun when you win but less fun and enjoyable if you lose.

MUTE everyone your team enemy team everyone. However still communicate to them as if they can still see what your saying( not sure if they can or not but lets say they don't see what your saying if their muted) Example if you play jungle say thank you to the people who leash you then mute them. Depending on your elo Tier bronze silver etc nothing comes out of their mouths that is important enough to have them not muted. 90% of the time bronze players will have nothing to say but rage and salt so no reason not to have the muted. Do you care what people got to say to begin with?
If your not a "good player" or just want to have fun just play normal games with friends and mute them too ;] cause if their friends you should't be icommunicating with them in the chat unless its for flash timers etc. you should be on curse or skype ;]P.
Once you gain confidence you will tend to have "fun" destroying people as you have gotten "better" at the game.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

The game definitely feels less fun than it used to be. That could be because we've been playing for so long.

Toxicity levels are at an all time high with the new Dynamic Q. Now you get 4 people who are all toxic. Instead of getting one 15 yr old telling you mom jokes, to fuck yourself. You get a group of 4 of them.

I stopped playing until Solo Q gets released.

The whole s6 death timers and snowball lane is anti-fun. I swear people still don't understand that ranked is for serious people who dont fk around with builds and meta. I'm so hesitant to play ranked that I have to play with 4 people I completely trust that won't troll, aka my IRL friends.

I agree. This game has lost it's magic and people don't play ranked seriously enough, most people only play solo queue which makes them not really care or start to do troll builds or just flaming the chat constantly.

I suggest you get friends together to make 5 man premades and play ridiculous things in normals, like all-synergizing team comps and off-meta champions. Then even you can't take yourself seriously, but you can still win and have fun doing it.

Maybe I just haven't played enough or don't play at the right time, but I've been playing normals on the account I used to climb w/out duo que last season (had riot delete champs from it and had to get IP to buy enough to play ranked again) and I honestly haven't seen anyone being like that really. I think one person complained about something but both they and the person they were arguing with left it be when I asked nicely that they chill and we just play. I dunno, like I said, maybe I haven't played enough after taking a 2 month break but other than the wait times being a bit long it hasn't seemed bad to me.

If you don't like the game, don't play. Complaining didn't help improve any previous online game either.

The changing meta is what keeps the game interesting. Adapt or quit.

This game was never about fun and no, the older seasons weren't "magically better". People being assholes have existed since the beginning. "Well never-" Yes, there were people being assholes of this caliber. You choose to forget because rose-tinted goggles. This has been a problem since the beginning. Don't blame this season on every negative thing about league.

Just get a 4 man premade, it doesn't have to be IRL friends just make sure they get along and then you'll think you're playing another game.

I really feel the same honestly. If my brother isn't on, I rarely play any more, maybe on my nights off I'll do an aram or two, and one normal game... But I've practically quit league without realizing it.

You can say "just get a premade" or some nonsense, but I usually have 30~ people on my friends list logged in at any time, and I'm extremely lucky if even one of them actually wants to play. They just sit logged into league, whether they intend on playing or not.

Games to their core are suppose to be fun, that's their point; if people want more incentive, then that's what ranked is for, but at their core games are meant to be a fun way to pass time or a fun hobby to devote time into. I don't devote a lot of time into League, playing maybe a game a day and I've been playing this game since 2010, but I've only touched ranked a few times with most of those matches having toxic players.

On my first account i ever made, i had just hit level 30 and was so hyped to do ranked. I did my promos, got placed in Silver 3, and then after playing like 6 games of ranked said "Eh, i liked normals better". Now everytime i play normals or even aram i have to deal with people talking shit to me about having a silver border, even though ive played 27 ranked games on that account. I regret ever doing a ranked game.

Once you get to higher elo it's a lot more fun. I find fun people in a lot of my games, but with popularity of a game comes more people which means more toxicity.

this thread has popped up countless times before, and it will keep popping up as long as the game exist. I have only been on the boards for a few months I have already seen this same thread too many times.
