End of the season reward with a ban (Help)

I got a 14 day ban about 2 to 3 months ago and I occasionally get reported but I am doing alot better with controlling my toxicity but I was informed by a friend that I won't get the end of the season reward because of that ban.. is it true? Is there anyway that I could prove that I have changed?
