Cant install PBE on any drive other than C: ?

Trying to install the PBE however when I put it into a folder on the root level of my D: drive and attempt to run it, nothing happens. I use an SSD drive as my my C: and don't have room for games on it, as it takes my OS and the majority of other smaller installs. League is currently installed onto my D:, is there any reason why the Beta can't also be?
