@RiotLyte , Can you answer some questions for me?
Prefessor-Doctor @RiotLyte,
Can you please elaborate on the methods used when issuing 2 week bans for toxicity? I recently was banned for 2 weeks for toxicity, and fair enough- I'm not here to contest that ruling per-say, I just have some questions regarding it.
Firstly, I wasn't even aware of that I could be banned before receiving a chat restriction . Granted, League as a community shouldn't need a stepping stone set of warnings, however, with the assumed purpose of chat restrictions being to stop toxic behavior I'm unsure why this option wasn't implemented first hand. Has this method been abandoned?
Secondly, the Email I was sent. Again, I'm not here to contest the the ban, Some of what was said was indeed toxic and I have to face some kind punishment. That said, some of the things that were flagged are questionable. Some examples of what I consider questionable flags are: "why stay" "that has to be intentional" "gg" "should be" "same" "tried" "agreed" "can you just pick a lane and push it" "why would I gank when 'I could die'"(as i proceeded to gank, a reference to what that lane had said about not leaving lane to help a teammate) "gg report bot lane", which was for feeding(2-10), which is a report-able offense.
Now, the last two in my book may be a little on-the-knuckles but not toxic. I would like some insight as to why these were flagged as toxic behavior, as the vast majority of these I do not consider so.
Just to reiterate- I'm not crying for a reversal of the ban, even if I do consider it far too harsh as I have never received a chat ban. Just some clarification to the process so I can better understand why I did not get the lesser punishment first.
Regards,
