"Whenever I have problems with someone in game, and I ask the enemy team to report their first response is always "Mute". TBH, people that should be reported are not getting reported because of the mute button. I have large issues with this. The League community should be a better place than it is.

THAT"S THE POINT!!!!!!.... The mute button is there to use if you don't want to listen to someone be toxic, release stress or w/e you want to call it.... He is actually complaining people are using the mute button? Now I know there is a bunch of idiots that will say..
"BUT I SHOULDN"T HAVE TO USE THE MUTE BUTTON" Really? So your excuses to not use an option Riot gave you is because you shouldn't have to? Then why the hell did they add it? to fill in a spot?.. Some guy comes up and smacks you repeatedly in the face, you have every right to defend yourself.. do you not defend yourself because you shouldn't have to?
I'm going to make this very clear to everyone... Your right to be offended does not trump anyone else's right to an opinion much less express that opinion. It might be one of Riot's rules that you need to kiss people's ass so they don't get offended but that doesn't make them right in the sense that just because people are easily offended we should have to change who we are for the sake of the chance they might get offended.
In the real world would you want the government telling you what you can and can't say and if you say anything remotely offensive to anyone you can spend 2 weeks in jail? What about if some guy comes up and punches your girlfriend in the face for no reason.. would you say nothing? What about if you tried to protect your girlfriend and you ended up in jail for hitting the guy who hit your girlfriend and he got off scott free?
Yes this is the gaming world.. but the same principles apply.. In real life you can't mute someone talking shit to you. In League you can but you choose not too.. Then you bait people into being toxic so you can feel good at the end about getting to report them.
People have died for you to have freedom of speed and expression.. every time you pretend to be offended and wanted someone punished for exercising that right you spit on the people who died face.
Keep promoting censorship and when the day comes where censorship comes to your country where you are only allowed to have opinions where they don't offended someone or you go to jail.. come back here and let me know how much you love it.
Till then if you are to lazy to use the mute button so you can "PRETEND" to be offended so you can "REPORT" we should just get ride of the mute button because idiots like in the post I copied think the mute button is there for no reason and would rather everyone report each other than just mute them.
