I'm not going to say they look awful, but it feels like icons from previous seasons look much better.
Can't Riot tweak a little just like last season? To think that I will be getting that ghetto master(maybe challenger) 3s icon makes me feel sad. I am really happy about the loading screen frames because they look so smooth and detailed, but these icons are just.. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The icons are a bit underwhelming. Seems to be getting worse every year
The rewards this season in comparison to seasons prior are underwhelming. They used to be so much better. The borders are honestly the only improvement. Why are we getting an icon that is basically a shield with a gem in the center of it if you're anything less than challenger?
Only gold looks nice. Everything else looks low-effort.
Does it mean Rito encourages people to stay casual?

my opinion is bias because i like shields.
I think it looks better than Season 4's because Season 4 was way more messy IMO (when it was Gold+) . I mean S4 was great, it was much better than Season 3 (which is the worst out of the 3 seasons) but it was quite bizarre looking.
I like these Season 5 icons, they look nice and simple a lot of like the Bronze and Silver Icons of S4 which I like better than the Diamond + Plat ones which looks like a crown with a gem with a cape with polish with extra gems - w/e just had too much.
I think the Bronze and Silver s4 icons are nice though, like these new s5 ones.
EDIT: Looking specifically at the Master Icons, they look like a downgrade from Diamond and Plat, like a fancier Silver with Plat's green gem.
