Trying to Create a Better LoL Experience

The current system will do multiple things wrong and most importantly does not fix anything; and even worse does the exact opposite results. So if one ever does get punished the punishment is both delayed, which if you ever dealt with children or puppies/dogs you will know delayed punishments do not work since actions need to be immediate and grant the one being punished a breather a time to think to self and reflect what the punished did wrong and why the punished was punished in the first place which this consequence of action(s). The other thing is that punishments are typically prolong which this is bad both since the player most likely already learned his lesson and still have to pay a punishment for something he won't do again, but because he is being constantly reminded of that bad thing he will actually end up doing that thing again and again. There is a saying "forgive and forget" this came to be because if you focus or even think about a wrong you are more likely to do that wrong or keep doing that wrong because it enters your consciousness and subconsciousness; so let's say you are struggling losing weight and you want to eat better and stop eating that whole pizza to yourself every night, so how you go about doing this is doing other things and taking your mind away from thinking about that gooey cheesy pie because you are thinking to yourself "don't think about eating pizza, don't think about eating pizza" over and over again you will eventually just go back to the bad habit you are trying to break which is eating pizza and getting even fatter which is the opposite of the goal you want to achieve.

Another majour point is that the current system is very vague and does not tell the user what he did wrong so he cannot have that time to sit down and think upon his actions and what he did wrong.

Time to share my ideas!

So first off we are going to talk about a new Leaver Buster and place it on a similar level to Dodge Penalty. Leave/AFK manual reporting will be completely done and away with so POOF! because this new system will both be an immediate system targeted at those who are actually leaving games so that they can reflect upon what they have done and think about their actions and know that their are actually consequences. This new Leaver Buster will be more strict, which is only relevant for the AFK side of things, because it may be granting immediate and severe punishment, but it also allows room and assumes the player actually thinks about what he just did; meaning the system resets on either daily rotations or 24 hour rotations; if 24 hours it will be based upon the guilty party's finished time of punishment, the last time they were punished by the system.

The system will go something like this, which all times start AFTER the game comes to a full finish, so keep this in mind: First leave within a daily or 24 hour rotation is 30 minutes; second leave is increased to 60 minutes; and third leave and every leave after this is increased to 120 minutes. All leave timers function in the exact same way as a Dodge Penalty Timer would function as. In ranked matches the LP Loss will grant an additional LP Loss of 3 for the first Leave and 10 for every other Leave there after within the daily or 24 hour rotation; keeping in mind this is added on negative values onto the fact that you already getting losing LP for a Leave, but this system also punishes AFKs now since an AFK will not necessarily get a losing LP since the team can still win even if with an AFK.

New Reform System:

Two reports I would like to add to the system would be "Violating the Summoner's Code" and "Unsportsmanlike Conduct"; also "Spamming" will be separated into two categories instead of just one which are "Unnecessarily and Rudely Spamming Laugh/Emotes" and "Spamming Chat". Now the new system I will be suggesting all reports are going to do the exact same thing, but have more specific reports is because this new system will announce to the reported player what they just got reported for so that they can actually learn and improve their behaviour for future games; which to create incentive to reflect on their previous, improper, actions they will basically receive a timeout so they can are forced into a breather to reflect on what they just did so they do not simply just wave off their unhealthy ways of the previous game to spread toxicity in future games so that it can spread like the plague onto other players.

So here is an example of how the system will function: First off, there will be 9 tiers of reports which one or two reports is not such a big deal, but the punishment greatly escalates the more reports you gotten in that game. So one report will be a 2 minutes time out until you can queue up for a match-made game again; two reports will be 5 minutes; three reports will be 10 minutes; four reports will be 20 minutes; five reports will be 30 minutes; six reports will be 40 minutes; seven reports will be 50 minutes; eight reports will be 60 minutes; nine reports will be 90 minutes. Remember this is all immediate actions that occur right after that game that just happened. The next thing is that the reporter may be anonymous, but the report will not be. So this means if two people reported you for Verbal Abuse and one person reported you for Unsportsmanlike Conduct then you will immediately receive a message of something along the lines of "Your behaviour has not been optimal in the last game and two players reported you for Verbal Abuse and one player reported you for Unsportsmanlike Conduct you will take this time [insert appropriate wait timer here] to think about your actions on the last game you just played so something like this does not occur again." If you receive more than 4 reports in a game you will receive a link that redirects you to the game's in-game chat highlighting everything you said that game followed by the Summoner's Code (might as well make use of the time since you have to wait anyways).

There will still be a suspension system of days, weeks, or even months, or even a year which can only be triggered through multiple events occurring. If you receive a large amount of reports within 28 days you will be filed in a place for a Rioter(s) can see and then a Rioter will personally and directly try to get a hold of you and see what is going on and see why you are receiving so many reports. The Rioter will talk things over with you and try to resolve the matter which this will also try to function as a warning system; if you continue to be an unhealthy player towards the community then you will receive an appropriate suspension for so long which can and high chances will escalate if you keep on being a bad egg. Note the suspension system and talking to system should be used as last resorts and only in rare cases should this ever occur; but timeouts do not work for everyone, and sometimes severe punishment of jail time is what some players need to try to help them reform.

Rewards for not being bad and for being a good citizen!

Okay so there should be incentive for simply avoiding being bad / being a good member towards society and the community! Something should not just happen is always being afraid of being reported and punished and having the belt come down, but also look forward towards a well-done, good-boy piece of candy at the end of every month. So if you get 20 or less reports for that current month, i.e. entire month of June for example and not a month as in 28 days, then you will get rewarded with a small treat at the end of it. So what I was thinking for rewards will be something like this: At the end of every month you will get bonus 1000 IP, minus 50 IP for every report you received that month, meaning everyone with 21 or more reports get absolutely nothing over the lifetime of that month, every month is a brand new and fresh start. The ultimate reward will be something like a free Mystery Gift for yourself on top of 1000 IP for getting absolutely no reports for that month whatsoever, which will be a hard thing to achieve, but easily achieve-able for those that work hard to be a positive player in the community. There is one little catch which is there is a minimum amount of games you have to play for that month to be eligible for prices at the end of the month, this so so that the prices are only being given out to active players.
