Skarner, a new look

First off I'm not saying that our beloved Skarner is a bad champ or anything. There are those who like and dislike his thematic presentation and those who like and dislike what was done to him with the juggernaut rework. That being said I feel as though the mark was missed. As a former US Army Vet, I have experience watching Scorpions fight and I don't feel that his presentation brings that to the table at all. So, here's my thoughts on him and some justification on why my thoughts are what they are.

Theme: First off its important to note that scorpions are predators and as such tend to move quickly as they have to catch their prey. They don't move quickly all the time though, as a predator they have slow normal speed and high burst speed. (I know that Riot likes to see him as a juggernaut but I feel this is thematically wrong for him) Secondly because of the fact that scorpions have a neurotoxin as their primary weapon this should also be emphasized.

The kit: Passive: Swiping Grab. Skarner's auto attacks push back non champions that are near his target.
Grappling Strike: Every X auto attacks against a unit will snare them briefly.

Thoghts: Why have big claws as weapons if you're not going to use them. Push back anything you're not attacking and single out your target. Also, scorpions almost always grab their prey so why avoid making this part of his mechanics.

Q: Neurotoxin: (Short CD) On activation Skarner's next auto attack gains 150 bonus range as he strikes with his stinger, dealing XX bonus damage and poisoning the target for XX seconds. The poison slows the enemy for a small percent for XX seconds and can stack up to XX times. Snaring an enemy with Grappling Strike reduces the cd by XX.

Thoughts: Use neurotoxins. Sure, he will have a little more cc than previously but is that a bad thing. Part of his struggle is getting tuned, he could survive this powershift with more levers to use for balancing.

W: Rush: Skarner rushes at his target for a short period. The first attack against his target applies Grappling Strike. (XX move speed for XX time)

Thoughts: Remember, he's a predator and needs a speed buff to catch his prey.

E: Sinking Teeth: When Skarner snares an opponent with Grappling Strike, he will consume all of the neurotoxin inside them (snaring himself to do so) and heal for XX% of their max life per stack consumed. Skarner can overheal and generate a shield for up to XX% of his max life which decays very slowly.

Thoughts: As a scorpion it should feel like you're feeding on your opponents, or your prey. You're a hunter with the drive to eat, so...why not eat.

R: Impale: Skarner stuns his target and himself for a period of time, while they are stunned he injects them with the maximum number of neurotoxin stacks. While they are stunned they take periodic damage. Skarner's stun lasts as long as his opponent is stunned. If they cleanse the stun he is also cleansed.

Thoughts: While grabbing and pulling champions is fun with him, it's not an interaction that necessarily does much for him. Alsi tis worth noting that this particular interaction has been part of the headache that is balancing him. Shifting it more in this direction will allow a lot more to him and create some interesting interactions.

Overall, while I don't expect that this change will ever happen, its worth a shot to see what people think. I honestly would like to see this approach taken with him so he isn't just a raw damage fighter who randomly has a shield and can drag you. He actually has a couple of unique things that he can bring to the table this way that other champions of his caliber cannot.
