#1 MidRumble shows you how he does it
CHALLENGER Hi i'm RumbleMidGG (Diamond 1/Challenger). My favorite champion is rumble, specifically mid, because he fits my play-style. I like to roam, I spend more time outside my lane than in my lane. In my stream youll see when it is smart to roam and when it is not. You will learn mindgames that youll never see at any other stream and quality commentary. Don't take my word for it, give it a try, its free. http://www.twitch.tv/rumblemidgg
My runes are 3 Flat AP quints, flat/scaling MR Glyphs, flat Armor Seals, and 8.5 magic penetration. Rumble was nerfed a little while ago and I mained him before then too and can tell you... hes still good.
I stream almost daily but mostly after 4pm PST, I am a UC Davis student in California. In my stream I teach the secretes of not only Rumble, but mindgames and understanding how a few simple tricks will win you MUCH more games no matter what champion you use. Add me to your follows, its free and you're sure to learn a lot
EDIT AFTER RUMBLE EQUALIZER CHANGE After much testing with rumble since the patch I have come to a conclusion. The new ultimate makes Rumble more viable during teamfights. Rumble's ultimate used to be borderline ignorable during teamfights. Now with the patch I can see their health actually drop during the fight, it's allowing me to play a key role in teamfights. Liandrys with RumbleMid is now viable, I sometimes rush it as my first item now. Rumble in my opinion has been improved because it's opened up my room for higher strategy. In conclusion, if you're new with Rumble, sorry it's going to be more difficult to learn him. If you have experience with Rumble, he just got a whole lot stronger. Better nerf Rumble
My reasoning: If you break down just the numbers, he does the same exact damage! BUT, think of it like this: If you get hit by a Rumble Ultimate before it did say 500 initial damage, then another 500 damage over time. So if you get hit by it mid teamfight you can just say "ive been hit by half of it already, i can stand here and fight, I don't have to reposition myself, I'm on a slow anyway there's no point." They were right for thinking so because the 2nd half of the damage is almost not worth repositioning on a slow mid teamfight. Problem with that logic now tho is they get hit by an initial say 150 damage, then another 750 damage over time. That suddenly means they are making an investment to move (while on the slow) or they will lose much more hp by the end of the fight. It does the same damage if you can land an ultimate, except now they can't just ignore it during a teamfight because you can see their hp actually drop DURING the fight instead of just at the start. GG!
EDIT AFTER MOST RECENT Q AND E DAMAGE CHANGE: Its virtually the same thing. Take some damage from E and give it to Q. I usually hit them with the full combo and it comes up to virtually the same damage anyway. No difference to experienced, yet another obstacle for new rumbles.
EDIT FOR SEASON 5 Twin shadows on rumble is actually extremely viable. Its better than getting penetration because it allows you to do the same damage as going sorc haunting guise with this money, except with my new runes you run at 450 base movement speed without any active items. Runes are now 9 pen marks, 9 flat armor seals, 9 scaling magic resist runes, 3 movement quints. This with rushing twin shadows gives you incredible movement speed that counts as your defense stat. If you have any questions about how this plays out in very high elo (d1+) stop by my stream and check it out, i stream 5 days a week.
