Annie Grade

I was in a game today with an Annie support who went 4/4/18. No Sightstone, no oracle alteration, purchase 0 pinks, destroyed one ward, and placed 12 in 27 minutes. Hmm, how does this happen when getting a good grade while playing support revolves around vision control and ward placement? I don't get it. I don't complain when I don't receive an S because eh I probably did something wrong, but now that I see this.. I'm really confused and makes me wonder why I don't have Mastery 7 thresh yet.
