Custom Games
I think that as a whole the game League of Legends has a lot of room to grow. And one area that I would argue could bring a who new "delve" of players to the game would be improving Customs Games and further providing for those players who desire to play League of Legends differently the venue and the tools to do so.
Why not enable players to enjoy the game however so they desire. What is there to lose? Arguably, lots of money spent on developing.
My belief, is that the risk (cost) would be worth the reward (expansion of assets, growth of player base, new income for Riot)
Here are some of my primary ideas:
-
Allow the Leader of a Custom Game to set all bans within game set-up. Ban limit? All champions can be "Disabled" except for one. Also this should be effected in the "Game-Set-up" menu prior to the "Draft" of Drafting Game-types. Also, becu
-
Perhaps even allowing the player to contextualize their experience on whatever map they so desire. By this, I mean several things:
For instance: Allowing the Leader of a Custom Game to cordon off certain sections of the map to-be-played. Thus, disabling players from accessing certain places- whether they be monster camps on The Rift, or the crotches on Dominion.
Even allowing to Leader to simply disable certain camp spawns, or changing camps spawns from one type to another. In example what if one could change all basic camps (not Dragon/Baron) into Krugs.
Why would anyone want to do this?
Beats me, but I bet some hilarious game type could be built around the idea.
- And most importantly, the ability for every player to saving their game type settings.
And on a side note:
I don't comprehend why the game forces you to reconnect to a Custom Game you had voluntarily decided to leave.
I know well that players enjoy League of Legends in its most basic form.
However, I think with these implementations, and perhaps even more at the suggestion of the community, that League of Legends could become the most versatile MOBAs in the market of Video Games.
