In my humble opinion, compared to few years ago is much much much more fun: champions more balanced and unique ( yeah there are edge cases, but there are no more AP master yi at least), the addition of teambuilder, an alternative map that actually makes sense ( ARAM, even tought i personally don' t like it ) and a much viable and wide rooster of champions.

Dunkey said that just to help him translate into other games that he was probably already working on. After some years you end up the jokes up your sleeve and must either reinvent something or go elsewhere, and having a bang of attenction like that helps him a lot, with the plus of victimizing himself and do not lose much reputation.
