Idea for Post Game (dealing with extreme trolls).

I had a very basic idea for the post game lobby that could potentially help to alleviate some of the trolls and toxic attitudes from the average game. What if after the game you had a "call moderator" function. Basically you would be able to call in a mod for an individual game to assess whether or not the trolls deserves a punishment right there after the game. The mod could then figure out the best course of action to take on the player immediately rather than waiting for a few games of reports to go through before he gets punished. Punishments could range from very small to very large. A one time offender might only receive a 3 game chat restriction or maybe a 1 or 2 hour ban. Someone who has been trolling in a lot of recent games could receive something like a few days of ranked ban or match made ban with the option then of further reviewing his specific case for further punishment. With the potential of punishment coming directly after the game I think that it would reduce the number of trolls because they would be more afraid to deal with talking to the mod about their actions directly and after the game.

The way I envisioned this happening is to have a sort of voting system in the post game lobby where you have the option of calling a mod. Obviously it would require over 4 votes to ensure one team does not just vote to call in on one guy thus wasting mod time. I was thinking maybe 6 votes would be an ideal number to start with, 4 votes from one team and at the least 2 votes from the other. If anyone has any other ideas on how you could get a mod to come into your post game feel free to add them to the discussion.

Now obviously there are a few bad things about this plan. There are millions of games played every day, so how do we get enough mods to cover the sheer amount of games that take place? It would be a rough burden at first with people calling for mods over every little thing but after a while the amount of extreme toxic behavior would reduce, resulting in less need for calling them in to begin with. Also one thing that might cause this idea to fail is the fact that players would essentially have to police themselves by knowing which cases actually need a mod and which ones you need to chalk up to a bad day or a bad game, or even the cases that would only require a regular report rather than a mod report. Hopefully if players took this idea seriously and only call mods in on the most extreme cases of intentional feeding (i.e. your mid laner has 0 kills and 22 deaths), or other extreme toxicity (i.e. on member on your team is telling other players to kill themselves or that they will kill their family), we can begin to clean up the community in a more constructive way than our current methods allow. Even with the problems that this idea would possibly have I think that this new system would still be a better system for cleaning up the community than the one we have now. If you have any concerns, questions, or other ideas related to this topic please feel free to join the discussion. I'm hoping this thread has enough points in it to create more discussion and allow for more ideas to grow on this system and other potential systems that could be implemented in the future.
