Can Riot have an option to download a video replay via Match History?

Going through searching for program after program, I cannot find one that would work on a consistent basis. Especially for improving play (or simply making content on social media) programs such as LOLReplay are used, but it's a gamble - it constantly bugs out, may not have saved the data correctly, or simply give back corrupted files that won't open properly. I've come to the idea -- what if Riot made it an option for a player to download the Spectator Mode data as a video file from the Match History section on the website? Would this even be possible or no? This would make it so much easier to get the big plays we make with our friends or teammates and find the mistakes we're making in order to fix them and climb the ranked ladders faster.

So Riot, can this be done? Has it been talked about? If not, any particular reason as to why not? (I'd assume that the data being saved would take a legitimate amount of space is probably the first response to this) I may just be dreaming/ranting but I feel like this would be good for the creative side or more competitive aspects of the League Community.

This sort of thing would take up massive amounts of memory, unless the data was deleted if you don't download it right away.

Riot made an attempt at a replay system in S3 but ditched it. It's really disheartening because watching your own game to spot consistent mistakes is the best way to get better.

at the moment i enjoy OPGG's replay system. it's not always reliable but most of the time it actually works.

This would be awesome, if I could look back at plays, whether good or bad.

Yea they should have this, I mean dota does and they don't make nearly as much money...

I just feel like something directly from Riot would be way more reliable than a third party, especially when new patches come out with massive changes.

I managed to find a replay system that seems to work fine. It's called SkinSpotlight Replays. Every patch that comes out you may have to download a new version of it but at least it works more consistently than LOLReplay.
