"Galio OP"
Statistically, Galio is the least played champion of all. I don't understand why. He's a troll-y antimage who can easily counter most mainstream mid-laners. I played a couple games with him since he's free, and he is, as expected, a troll-y antimage. It's fun to wach the enemy caster try and do damage while you outfarm them.
Anyway, I played a game on teambuilder with Galio. I was against a Yasuo, which I suppose counters me since he's AD not AP. Anyway, I played passively, jungle helped me take turret early, so I could afford to roam. I got fed and stomped everyone 14-0-21.
The opponents accused Galio of being "cheap" and "OP." I know he's not. Nobody plays Galio, so nobody understands his kit. Here's the most major thing they did wrong: Galio's "W" serves well to mitigate damage-over-time. Sejuani's spinny thing is a DoT, therefore Galio's "W" pretty much cancels it. Same with enemy Heimerdinger's turrets. You can't rely on DoT against Galio. That's not to say Galio is OP, though. Galio has high MR but is not so strong with armor. Autoattacks are super effective against him. The enemy Zac support was doing considerable damage to me just by AA-ing me in teamfights. They should have picked up on that. Yasuo should have destroyed me in laning. Galio has no proper escape, so Yas could just wait for me to push lane, tornado>R, and then pick up the kill.
My point is many people are gonna start complaining "Galio OP" simply because they have no idea how he works. Rito plz don't listen to them. Galio is perfectly fine. In fact, people who actually studied his kit say he's underpowered. Don't let your opinion be
by n00bs who don't try anything new against an unfamiliar champion.
