I didnt have much time and just wanted to practice a little, so i went into a beginner's bot game and just kinda did stupid stuff for the giggle and i had people who were really new to the game with me. This game was honestly one of the most fun times ive had interacting with other people on League. They were asking me questions about what to build and where to go and they were so excited just to play this wonderful game that they just had fun with it. We talked about the game and how our classes were going and finals and it was just great.

What happened? I just got out of a game where i was raged at just because i was there. Sure, i wasnt challenger level of play and we all make mistakes, but does that really give you the right to tell me to uninstall the game and go die just because we werent winning a 4v5? I just dont understand the hate. I didnt do anything to you? Im just trying to have fun playing a game i love as a distraction from life and having to do college stuff. Im human too.

Just grinding to lvl 30 in this game takes a great deal of dedication to improving. But in ranked matches imagine how much more talent the average player has. All the games are more difficult. Every game is more tense. And if one player on one team starts to snowball early it can ruin the match for the other 9 players involved as it becomes too easy, or too difficult.

I can understand the toxicity that happens in this game. The skill level is so high, the MMR matchmaking system is very good and the games are wildly difficult and well balanced skill wise.

I've had some beautiful balanced close matches. I've had a lot more 4v5's where the team with 4 players wants to surrender by the 20 minute mark whether im winning my lane or not.

Part of the skill cap of this game being higher on average is knowing the minutia of the game. Knowing when to ward, where to ward, why to ward, that new players will not comprehend for months yet.

Knowing why CS is important early game. Knowing why winning your lane is important early game. Knowing every item, and the best possible choice to fit your toon. Knowing which runes to use when, knowing which masteries to use when.

And if that isn't enough some people think there teams won or lost in the Champ select draft, and worse than that during the ban phase of the game.

League of Legends is a deep, deep game that looks simple on the outside, but inside it's wonderfully complex and deep. It's as much a thinking mans game as it is about dextrous and accurate mouse clicks.

All this difficulty breeds a battleground where if you aren't up to date on the current meta and your team figures it out they will get pissed that they are in danger of losing the match before it's even begun.

Interesting.

I've learned that bots are far more enjoyable than a normal game because people just don't care as much. If you have a bad trade, fine. Who cares? It's bots. You'll still win. And nobody's perfect.

You have a bad trade in normals and you're the scum of the earth.

the saltier the gamer, the more lowlife they are.

the ones who talk shit all day, thats all the do is play games, act like they are challenger I in a bronze v ranked match, and tell you everything you did wrong while they are sitting at a 1/12 as an adc.
