Placements are a little weird right now XD

So I did relatively poorly in my placements (5-5) and just got placed in Plat 2 and was wondering how my two best friends were doing.

My Diamond 5 friend went 1-9 in his placements (Brian, I know you browse these boards you boosted monkey) and got placed in Plat 5. Meanwhile, my Plat 1 friend (you too, Nick) who won all 10 of his placements got placed in Silver 1. SILVER 1. That's friggin hilarious! I laughed my ass off at that unlucky bastard.

Still got me wondering though, if Diamond 5 players who fail their placements miserably (and will never get a girlfriend) get placed in Plat 5, and Plat 1 players who win all their placements end up in Silver 1 (bringing shame upon their ancestors), then is the entire Gold division just plain empty right now?
