Why Is NA Like This.

For reference, I am a PH server player, and I started NA because my friend migrated to Canada. Now, I don't know why, but NA players sure got a mean tongue. I already though PH had like pretty bad and toxic behaviour, but I never imagined meeting the likes of them in NA. It was a very bad experience.

There was this game where my lane was winning (me as ADC), and the game was very smooth. Everything changed when the jungler attacked us. I wasn't paying much attention to the map (mb, botlane was pretty much on edge), but when the enemy jungler started ganking bot, I was surprised at how fed he is. I check the score board and he pretty much decimated the other lanes. Now, when we started dying in botlane, every blame was shifted to us. I mean, why. We're not the ones who did that. It was a nightmare coupled with choice swear words and flaming and ultra rude behaviour and many more.

Are there any players out there who are from PH or other servers that went to NA? I want to hear your thoughts! I'm sorry for this long post, I just wanted to get this off my mind.

us NA players desensitized when it comes to any online content so most people online dont care about others feelings and believe that they are always right and cant do no wrong

we are toxic everywhere not just on league

MOST people in NA have thicker skin, and hence we don't monitor what we said. (I have never gotten any restriction yet, I'm not toxic)

Not PH, but I can speak to one point, at least about American culture.

Swearing is an interesting topic. Traditional cultural norms say "swearing is bad". This has led to crossing that rule being an intentional show of emotions, most often of anger and comradery, particularly among homogenous subcultures, and moreso in some than others. For example, young men are particularly likely to swear when they're exclusively in the presence of other young men. In online gaming, many young men assume everyone else is a young man unless there's ample evidence to the contrary (such as voice chat or a summoner name with "Miss" in it). So part of the swearing comes from a yearning for acceptance from peers. It's actually pretty cute, particularly since it's expressed in a potentially aggressive way in order to mask vulnerability.

Anyway, just like the rest of the world, not everyone's a bad player :) So hopefully you'll have many games full of joy, excitement, and teamwork that don't devolve into blaming and flaming!
