The Problem with Bronze, Part 3: Tryharding

Ok This is also a very general topic as it applies to more than just Bronze.

the deal is, one of the biggest issues in ranked is attitude, but often i wonder just how much this is a result of "tryharding"

lets establish this early. No. Trying Hard is not a bad thing. you're in ranked to test your skills against your opponents in a match of pure skill...

then there's tryharding. Only playing solely to win, and any bit of a nick in plans, or bump in the road, no matter how slight results in raging, toxicity, and AFKing. This is when it's a problem. Now this is when i also bring up the biggest problem with it:

Tilting.

When you go in ranked and say "ranked isnt for fun you fucking idiot" or something along those lines this means that you are tryharding. it also means that you are too ignorant to realize this attitude that ranked is always hardcore and you cant have fun, is one of the worst to have. Remembe why you play. especially in bronze. you play to have fun, I dont care what Elo you think you belong in, or if you think you should be in the LCS, that does not mitigate the aspect of fun that's required.

if you do not play to have fun and treat the game as constant serious business... you go on tilt easily. this is something even I'm working on. it can be frustrating when all the odds just arent in your favor. but if you learn to have fun, those loses dont feel nearly as punishing.

If you queue up for ranked, remember. Play ranked to show off your skills and versatility in any role... not just to carry, and play to have fun.

"Gl, HF" shouldnt be lip (finger) service, you should genuinely need and mean it.
