I'm Actually Loving This Current Banning System
Back when tribunal was around, and players don't have an idea what the definition of toxicity is, as well as not having an idea what the thin line between constructive criticism and verbal abuse, I got banned twice for things that weren't banworthy. Honestly. Sadly, I can't grab direct examples as it's against the rules, though I do admit there were some bans I deserved, including a previous permaban. When I get on tilt I do get a little toxic, but I'm enjoying this new banning system.
I was talking to a friend about what it actually is. I asked him why I wasn't getting banned when I had been quite toxic in a few games. It turns out, the current banning system only bans you if you're toxic for a majority of your games, and the more games you play where you aren't toxic, the more likely you are to not get banned.
For example, if I play ten games, and two of those games I'm severely toxic and get reported, I won't get banned. If I play for 24 hours straight and am toxic for 4 or 5 of those games and get reported, I won't get banned.
This banning system is much more fair in my opinion, as we are human beings, and we do get angry at times. Even in competitive play, LCS, players get mad and rage at their team. Now, those humans that aren't toxic but do get angry at times won't get banned, instead of the previous system where it would go through to tribunal if you get 3 or 4 reported games, and even if you played 30 games without being toxic, those 3 games are still counted and you are banned.
