So I beat the original DOOM yesterday...

And I've gotta say, that was one of the most fun experiences I've had in a long time.

Just as a note, I skipped the Super Nintendo and went straight to the N64, so I missed the boat on this game. When I saw the new DOOM was out, I decided it would be a good idea to go back and beat the original, plus I wanted a break from something other than League for a bit. After a few minutes, I was hooked. I finished in the span of a few hours in-game.

DOOM was honestly the first game I've actually beaten in months because of how much I play League. The game was well made, unforgiving, and exciting. It wasnt Dark Souls unforgiving, but still brutal with ambushes and surprise fights. The game was challenging and just fun when you beat every single level. I walked away completely happy from my experience. Graphics weren't amazing compared to now, but still good for what they were. Story was simple and fun. End of the first act had me laughing for like 10 minutes. Overall, a worthwhile investment and super satisfying.

For those of you who haven't played DOOM, I highly recommend it.

Just as a warning though, Cyberdemon is a dick. And so are the Minotaurs that shoot green plasma. They suck too.
