Placement games need reworked

I have been playing this game forever.

When I first started playing, I sucked. I jumped into ranked and rekt my first season and placed in bronze.

That season I climbed my way to silver 4. Then i stopped playing and decayed out. So at the end of the season I finished in bronze.

I do not think it is fair that my placement in prior seasons, plays such a LARGE role in my placement in future seasons. Its not really fair at all and I'll tell you why.

I am much better at this game and lately, my friend and I have gotten back into the game. Now my friend, has placed GOLD the last 2 seasons and place BRONZE in his first.

This season he finished 3 wins in placements. 3 wins and 7 losses. I finished with 6 wins and 4 losses.

He gets placed in Bronze 1 and I get placed in BRONZE 4!!!!

How is this fair? I played BETTER than him in my placements/had better teams/ whatever it doesnt matter, I WON more games than he did, regardless of mine nor his past skill or placement in prior seasons. I dont care if he was FAKER, the best player to ever live, i played better than him in those placement games, I won more matches.

So why in the hell is it fair that he gets placed higher when his performance in placements, bases off W/L ratio, was far worse. Not only that but he was placed 3 divisions higher than me?

You may say well "if you get better you can climb out, you have to prove that youre good enough and can win enough games with a great variety teams and players" however it works both ways.

Who is to say that. between seasons, a once great player didnt suddenly lose his knack for the game? Maybe he fucked up his hand and sucks now..

The reset between seasons is not a reset, its just an eraser of rank, then they place you lower than what you were before, even if you did REALLY well in your placements.

This is not the first time this has happened. Last season, I placed 8 wins and 2 losses in my placement games, and because I had finished bronze in my first season, the system placed me in Bronze 2. with 8 WINS!

The stupid system is flawed. And again, you can say " Just get better and climb out" but in this ELO it is literally just full of trolls and young kids. Combine this fact with The probability of you getting a decent team being insanely low and you get a conclusion that says you must spend INSANE amounts of time on this game in order to climb out of the shittiest bracket in the game,. There are so many hurdles and obstacles you must get through just to get out of bronze.

I dont really care about my rank that much since I work mostof the time now and cant play this game like I used to, however, it is frustrating to see such a tilted and unfair system, regardless of the support from the fanboys who got a decent first 10 placement games their very first season or who had the time to climb out.

Not everyone has that time, so dealing with a system that consistently screws over more than half the playerbase it can be a bit frustrating.
