Ahri or Veigar or?

Coming from a support main I have been having fun playing mages( fun new play style) I really enjoy spell based champions. My question is who has better carry potential if played correctly or mastered? Ive seen just destroy an entire team kiting and jumping around and Ive seen just delete people. Im currently in bronze but i would like someone i can play in high elo as well when i get there. Or if you have any other mages that can really do well if mastered.
