@Riot Legitimate concern about the future of LoL.
What happens if your 'vision' for League makes the majority of people stop playing long before it comes to fruition?
You guys do know that if League falters, people will likely not revisit it. That's just how online games work.
If you guys are being too ambitious with your visions of what LoL should be, you could easily kill the game within the next year.
Are you aware of that, or are you blindly assuming League will be the most popular game no matter what?
I feel that Riot, like many other failed game companies, has created a great product, then ended up stuck with their head in the clouds about what they want their game to be. And that ultimately leads to a falling out with their player-base.
Players don't want what you think would be cool. They want to enjoy the game they signed up for. Don't alienate players with your visions. You can try to pursue your goals for what LoL should be, but be sure to include the players' desires in that as well.
If Kool-Aide started making beef flavored packets, but stopped selling all of the others because they think Americans love meat more, people would stop drinking Kool-Aide altogether. Its an extremely stupid analogy, but its still parallel to what you're doing.

You've reconned all the lore people loved by stating "we think we can do better" despite not doing simple fixes for who was associated with the old lore. No plans or future goals for the lore such as a 'lore reworks' to go alongside VUs and VGUs.
-
You destroyed the integrity of Ranked play through Duo Queue
-
You keep an extreme minority of champions better than the rest because they're 'fun' or 'exciting' (never fun to play against though)
-
New champions often made older ones obsolete
-
You made the state of SR abysmal in an attempt to cater to casual, fast-paced gameplay (ironically makes high tier/professional extremely boring)
-
You've basically killed what made people enjoy watching the professional scene. That includes the diversity in it.
How many more things that people once loved are you going to take out of LoL? Are you just going to continue ripping things out until you realize you have no dedicated player-base left? Until you're a slightly more 'intense' version of candy crush, a game people play just to waste time?
Its so sad to watch this game go downhill. Revenue and total players are increasing, but everything else is declining. How long until that bubble bursts?
If you want LoL to be a 'sport' like soccer or football. The first dedicated E-sport that's like them...the first thing you need to do is not cater to casual play. Its necessary to support casual play, but catering to it is bad. No other sport caters to casuals. Its competition. Its dog-eat-dog. However, the overall aspects of gameplay are often simple enough that casual players could still play.
Start listening to the players who don't want what they enjoy ripped out of LoL.
