Discussion Topics for Riot
Hello all,
I am making this post as a collection of items/ideas that I have seen quite frequently on the boards. This is a list of some of the most popular concepts that the LoL community has thought of but (as far as I know) has not received any kind of comment from Riot. So I am making this list to put all these ideas together in the hopes that ANY member of Riot will pop on here to make a comment on them. I am not asking Riot to answer all of these questions but more so something like “yes we have seen these ideas and discussed them at Riot HQ” or “no we have not talked about these ideas” or whatever else you would like to say on the subject. It would be nice to know that these topics that have been popping up multiple times a week are being noticed. I may or may not agree with all of these but I would still like to know how Riot views these ideas. So without further ado, here is the list.
**Increase number of bans **
Maybe give each person the ability to ban 1 champion? Or possibly just increase the bans to 4 or 5 but still leave it with the Caption to ban them his or herself? There are quite a few champions and the pool is always increasing and I am not sure 6 total bans will always be enough.
Give out more refunds at the start of every season
The game starts players off with 3 refunds, but for those of us that have been playing for a few years, those were used a LONG time ago and it would be nice to have a few more.
Reduce surrender time in games that have multiple AFKs
Games that have 1, 2, or even 3 AFKs are extremely difficult to win. If you notice that at 15 minutes the other team has downed most of your turrets and you see no way to come back, it would be nice to surrender a little early and save the remaining players some time.
Try out champion skins in custom game before actually buying
You just can’t get the feel for a skin like when you are actually playing it in game. Maybe let players try it out to see how the skin looks in game before completely purchasing it?
Update old summoner spells that are rarely used to make them viable again
I do not have a whole lot to say on this particular topic but I have noticed that this subject has been brought up a few times and it would be nice to know if anything is being done with the summoner spells that are hardly ever used.
Change the LVL 30 bar on the home page to show LP
Or have the ability to change if you want, I know not everyone plays ranked. It would be cool for those of us that DO play ranked to see our LP on our home page though.
Add ult timers (and possibly summoner spells) to the HUD or TAB menu for access from teammates
I know this has been talked about quite a lot and I firmly believe this is a great idea. It might make things a bit convoluted on the HUD but I am sure there is a way to list all of your teammate’s ult/summoner timers to know whether or not it’s the right time to engage.
**Reduce rune prices **
Rune prices have always been a tad expensive. There are a lot of board topics that go into discussion on actually mathematical equations about how long it takes to actually accrue a full rune page for champs so I won’t list that here, but it would be nice to know whether or not it is in the works to change these up because they are practically required in games to do well (at LVL 30 at least) and take a significant amount of time to acquire.
I may not have added all of the popular topics on the boards ATM, but I did list ones that I have seen very frequently. You can always comment if you want me to add any others on this list with a small description for Riot to see. I also did not go into too much detail on each of them but that is because there are multiple threads with great discussion from other players if you would like to learn more about them. With that being stated, I did not make this thread to discuss each topic, more so just to list them and maybe have a Red comment on them.
As I said before, I am not expecting a lengthy response from Riot going into full detail on each topic but I would like to know whether or not some of these topics have been seen or even discussed at Riot HQ. I know a lot of players have been itching for some news on certain topics so please throw us a bone here Riot!
