Crafting Rental Very Unclear

After receiving a skin shard for a skin I really liked (Mecha Malphite), I decided to try it out and make sure I would use it. To my surprise, the skin is completely gone following the 7 day "rental".

The confirmation prompt in the client is not at all clear. Please add "This action will consume the shard, and make it so you can no longer upgrade it to permanent" or similar. Looking online there are a lot of people who are unhappy with the lack of clarity.

If I could be reimbursed the skin shard I would upgrade it with orange essences, but my main goal is more clarity for others.

Another point to make is that at the end of the 7 day rental period, if you haven't used the champion then you don't actually lose access to the champion until you play 1 game with it. Not good or bad just something to point out.
