Just wondering....why can't Riot have Hexakill, URF, Etc... as permanent gamemodes like Aram? Its a bummer when they show up once in a blue moon and last only a weekend :/

If they had all the modes permanent it would increase que times. The common sense solution would be to rotate all 8 game modes on a 2 month schedule so we see them all at least 6 times a year. RIOT is lacking in the common sense department so we play what they tell us to play or we don't play at all. Just more leadership problems like you see everywhere these days. We either have to deal with their ignorance or we just don't play. At least the game is free.

  1. Maintenance costs. Each additional game mode available multiplies the amount of testing required to make sure any changes don't break something else.
  2. Queue health. Riot's unarguably terrible at supporting anything besides classic SR. As such, the meta tends to stagnate, and there's a distinct lack of incentives for learning and improving. Eventually the mode suffers from the same issue as Treeline or Dominion: the game mode itself is interesting, yet people don't want to play it because of the lack of support.
