These champion updates have gotten out of hand
Dear riot staff I got hooked on league sometime around late 2011. Riven had just come out and I was furiously gaining ip in order to buy more champions from the already immense pool. One thing that seemed especially unique of the game was the progression of character design. There was always a testament to the older days of the game with the older, simpler, and less polished champions. While the shiny new champions always had the limelight, the older champions were fun to play with as well. Their more Simplistic design allowed for fun experimentation via non traditional builds. This freedom to experiment was always something that I loved about league of legends. I remember working on a new taric build. Right as i was perfecting it, i learned that he was going to be reworked. At first i was optimistic given the success of the recent poppy rework(I was still sad to see the old poppy go). But upon release i realizes that the feel was fundamentally similar to poppy. More importantly he felt rigid in the same way. No room for experimenting, same shiny Aesthetics. Next came yorick, Warwick, and now as ive learned Galio. This is utterly heartbreaking. One by one and disturbingly quickly, I'm seeing champions that i loved be churned out into new, boring, rigid characters with little to no heart. I agree that a good number of champions could use visual updates, but this kind of champion de-souling will only lead to league becoming a duller videogame. I'm writing this email not as a suggestion, but as a desperate plea. Please stop destroying the champions that got me and so many others into this great game. You are ruining one of the many things that make this game so special. Thank you, Bloodlut: a concerned summoner
