Help dealing with toxic players

Hi I am lvl 26 and I plan to get to lvl 30 and start ranked games soon. I win most of my games too. But today I joined a draft pick and we were discussing Darius. Now I didn't now much about the rework and I said that Darius has a really good early game. Now this one player just went off and called me a dumbass and said how f*cking dumb I was for being lvl 26 and how he was so great for being gold 3 and a riven main. He also kept asking if I knew who he was and was so full of himself. I think this is a problem with the league of legends community. People base your intelligence on your experience on the game or how skilled you are. You can be absolutely just stupid but if you have lots of experience you can still do well. this is why we have such toxic players that comment on every little mistake we make. Can you guys help me deal with these higher elo toxic players?

Only way is to Mute in game and report afterwards. Don't take what they say to heart, they think too highly of themselves. Best to just ignore and enjoy playing the game for what it is.

It's better to just not say anything to these people than to stoop down to their level. That way you don't risk becoming toxic themselves, getting reported and getting punished. Not worth it. Just keep being positive, offer help when it's asked for, and you should be fine.

Hope this helps.

we lose a 50 minute game while im 14/2/11 with by far most damage on team and taken most objectives myself while having plenty of team fight presence. The reason we lost is not just "becuz of bad tem" as out 0/6/2 veigar was saying about us ironically or because of skarners obsession to spam ping everyone while getting caught in the process because hes paying more attention to everyone else than himself then proceeds to blame it on lack of wards while we have a total of 9 wards out at the time and hes ironically the only one without a trinket upgrade at this point let alone ending and refusing to upgrade at any point...

No. The overall reason we lost was because of team tilt and people not knowing how to handle tilt. I mean they were typing more than playing and afking more than typing. They even tried to pass the tilt onto me at the end of the game saying baddie riven pls "reprot", which apparently they actually did which i assume the majority of players do to vent regardless of their report weight going down and knowing tribunal can read chat logs.

If people instead tried to learn from the game and get off the tilt train rather than blame and "reprot" this game would be ALOT more enjoyable. Sure, people can learn from their position mistakes and become more mechanically skilled as well but the vast majority of you guys don't seem to realize just how bad tilt effects not just you but everyone. People are so scared of getting blamed and called bad thus causing them to tilt they start blaming others first which in turn tilts others. Its like a cycle.

This is a major branch of toxicity in the game and understanding it definately helps
