Promos are good for nothing but frustration

Last match I had our support not connect the first couple minutes and it put the adc in a shitty "I don't give a fuck anymore" mood so we lost. Next game we all pick and last pick say "can't support gg" and locks in Lee Sin with Clarity. Normally this would just be annoying. However, I needed to win 2/3 matches for this stupid fucking promo so it really pissed me off.

Fuck this system, Riot. Go back to the good ol' break this MMR threshold for X rank. The only thing this system promotes is frustration with trolls in promos and people no longer giving a shit once they hit a reward tier so they stop trying because it is incredibly unlikely that they will be demoted.

Rank means nothing these past few seasons. What really matters is your hidden MMR and two different ranks can house players of the same MMR. Meaning someone has a rank they shouldn't which means your rank is bullshit. There are Silver players playing against Gold players that will probably not get the reward skin because they are just unlucky in their promos. For some reason it doesn't matter that they have the same MMR, the thing that actually fucking matters, but one will get the skin and one won't because of a flawed system. How many threads and how many players do you need to complain about promos before you even address it? It doesn't matter how calm and rational or angry and whiny the players are. They get ignored either way.

Maybe Repertoir will give a response about this one day. Even if there is nothing he or anyone else that replies can really do, knowing that Riot at least understands that this is an issue for a vast number of players would be a little ray of hope.

Is this a rant thread? Yes, because I am sick and tired of promos because losing one match in promos with a troll means a lot more than losing any other fucking match because of a troll.
