Is Anyone Else Disappointed with the Lunar Event Right Now?

I mean the new skins are nice and it's to be expected since they did it before and again but what I'm disappointed in, and the main focus of the topic, is why they brought the stupid crafting system into this. I mean this just seems pointless, other than the fact that you can combine the gold crafting materials to gemstones, obviously a way for players to try and get them possibly cheaper. But the thing is it's a randomly generated resource so you may not get the required gold amount.

And even then I have to ask the other question: who is even still trying to get these damn gems in the first place? All we have access to when we get the amount required are a stupid exclusive ward, or exclusive skins that honesty I feel there are better ones out there for those particular champs, with the argument of Annie since the skin is really well made.

Bottom line: it feels pointless and forced on us. "Let's celebrate the Lunar New Year except only to those who have money to give us" -Riot. Look, I'm willing to give money to Riot in order for them to support them and support the game. But when this season just starts to feel like shit and Riot puts up an event that almost forces you to give your money to them, it makes me question why I'm still paying for this shit and supporting them. At least let us have personal shop for special deals.
