"LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD"...
Not sure which board to post this on and thought "Miscellaneous" was the safest bet so here goes.
I received an email informing me that I was supposedly randomly selected for a survey, titled "LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD" It also tells me "we want to hear what you have to say."
I thought cool, Riot is asking me for my opinion and feedback. Inb4 it just gives me a string of multiple choice questions (which could use some clarity) asking about my user choices in which my voice, what I have to say, and my reasons are limited to the options provided, with "Other" not among them.
"let us hear who you are and what you think about the game" One of the questions asked was about how many accounts I have and why. They listed reasons ranging from "I want an account I can practice on" to "I have a low level friend" to "I wanted a fresh start" to "my account is undergoing punishment" etc. in which you choose how much you agree with these statements. None of these are me. You said you wanted to hear who I am, and trying to figure out who I am by asking what I'm not is incredibly inefficient. Yes I have multiple accounts. I have an account on NA and an account on LAN. I have an account on NA because I live on the west coast. I have an account on LAN because I had a lot of friends who transferred there when the server opened. I'm still not sure if it was asking for accounts total across all servers or just on NA.
There was another question asking about what the level of the highest account I possess is and gives you a screen length entry box to type a 1-2 digit number. When I first read it I was unsure if it was asking skill level or just summoner level due to the fact that it was a screen length entry box and I could type more than 2 digits, until it wouldn't allow me to progress to the next page of the survey unless I only entered a 1-2 digit number. Furthermore the questions asked were mostly account centered (e.g. how many accounts you have, account leveling, unlocking runes/masteries through leveling, do you go to the forums, do you post on the forums) and not really about the game itself.
These are just a few examples. Overall I believe the questions in the survey could use clarity and the choices not so constrained. At the end of the survey I did not feel my voice was heard at all and the fact that the ad states it wants to know what I think about "the game" is very misleading, and that my opinion on the survey itself was not asked at the end was disappointing and I did not feel that this was "a great way to make [my] voice heard"
