Is it even worthwhile to learn harder champs?

'cause, honestly, it seems like every match in this game is dominated by the AA-spamming, targeted ability abusing champions who take zero effort or thought to play effectively, yet are also incredibly boring to play.

So I play a skill-shot heavy, complex champ (Bard, Azir, Illaoi, Syndra, etc.), and I know my champ really well, know how to use their kit, and can play competitively with them... and then here comes generic ADC #154, or generic AD melee clicker # 102, right-clicking away, and I instantly die. No counterplay, no dodging, nothing. I just watch as I fall over dead due to automatically targeted, unmissable attacks that require zero effort or thought to use -- in the same time they spend spamming AAs, my skillshots would do maybe a quarter of that damage.

I just don't feel like it's even worth it to play fun champs anymore. The only way to win is to play the broken, braindead gods that rule this game -- but also put me to sleep. First game LB, 19/0. First game Yi, 14/1. First game Fizz, 16/5... I just don't understand why they need to be so strong and so easy.

if you are like a high elo player like high diamond + then yeah its worth it If you are below that 9/10 times its not worth it because you are not good enough to use it effectively to make these champions "op" . Lower skill champions can be op because it requires less mechanically thinking and less mechanical players can play it. Higher skill champions in bad players hands actually turns into a below average champion instead of an "op" one. Its not that the "fun" champs aren't strong to carry with its that you are not good enough yet to carry with them and play them the way they need to be played in order to be effective. Hope that helps you understand.

its alot easier to predict what the simple champion will do next, thats what put skill shots ahead along with other things(either range, damage, little cc or something)

Easier champs doesn't mean win more. Usually, the harder champions are the ones who have the advantage because they have so much outplay potential and rely purely on mechanical skill which is enough to win games. Simple champions exist to cater to the less mechanically skilled, however something people seem to not want to acknowledge is that these people win their games through game knowledge and strategy even though they lack the mechanical skill required. Basically, play whoever you want, it all comes down to who knows more and can pull of their plays.
