Update Idea: Summoner Icon improvements
I'm sure that many of you have had this idea but I just think it would be a great addition because it would give all us players objectives. I think that unlockable summoner icons should be displayed in the icon section and when you hover over them it tells you what needs to be done in order to unlock them. I know the traditional ones like the marksmen, support, tank, fighter, assassin, etc. tell you when your progressing towards them but what about all the others? It would be similar to the achievement system on xbox in a way except instead of being rewarded points, your rewarded icons. some may view this as a grind fest but ultimately its always the players decision, your not forced to try unlocking every icon. some thoughts I have for new icons if this is noticed are multi-kill icons (one for each type of multi-kill, lets say you need to get 20 of whichever in order to unlock), objective icons (maybe take down 110 turrets), assist icons (get 200 total assists in a certain amount of matches), overall kill total icons (kind of like gears of wars Seriously... achievement), crowd control icons (get 100 stuns, snares, silences, etc.), minion kills icon (get the last hit on 5,000 minions), ACE icon (achieve 50 aces), solo-ACE icon (kill the whole enemy team by yourself), overall gold gained icon (gain a collective total of 1,000,000 gold), summoner spell icons (flash: escape near death or finish a kill 100 times using flash, ignite: kill or hinder an enemies healing using ignite 100 times, heal: heal fellow teammates 100 times, exhaust: gain a kill or escape near death using exhaust 100 times, teleport: use teleport 100 times, ghost: gain a kill or escape near death using ghost 100 times, cleanse: rid yourself of debuffs 100 times using cleanse, clairvoyance: successfully spot 100 enemy players using clairvoyance, clarity: use clarity to restore your mana or a teammates mana 100 times, barrier: escape near death or gain a kill while barrier is activated 100 times, smite: kill an enemy or large monster with smite 100 times). If this post goes noticed and Riot decides to implement this idea, I would also like to suggest adding tiers to these icons so that players can keep gaining icons and can continue their goals after reaching the first tier. it offers more diversity among players and lets others know more clearly who their matched up against (imagine coming across someone with a 3rd-tier pentakill icon, gg lol)
