Need help with the servers?

It has become painfully obvious to me, and I am sure to many others as well, that the servers are struggling immensely. What else could explain having 60 down and 20 up, but still a ping that spikes to about 900ms? Is there anything the community can do to help? I don't have much to offer, monetarily or otherwise, but I hate to see a game I love be run on a sub-par system.
