Support Tankko
Alright id like to start this off by saying I am in no way good at this game and I realizes what im about to post will probably make people scoff and such this is merely from my own experience.
So to the point. Today I thought it would be fun to try out Ekko as a support and I got to say it was incredibly fun and was to some extent successful. Was wondering the viability of this. Not saying like top tier support pick. Just something that could work. I would like to hear from individuals and perhaps their experience with this.
Here is my noobish opinion on it:
Fist the bad. Starts off kinda weak. With only a slow to keep your adc safe. Early spamming the Q can make you oom fairly easily. Ontop of that if you wanna add some actual damage to your target you will have to get in at least 1 auto. Depending on the support you have to be very cautious about how you approach the early levels. Another downside to that is also the fact that, that means your adc will have to play safe up into the first 3 levels. Which also means that both of you will probably have to communicate a little more then your usual pick up game and watch for the jungler as early it can be a terrible death sentence.
Now the good. when you actually get to level 3 you and your adc can put out some incredible damage onto the adc or at the very least make them think twice about going all in on you. If you land your W and even more so if it gets the adc and the support get caught in it even at level 3 it can be a death sentence and if you decide to back off before the stun expires then you got a huge free trade. When you start getting tanky you will have quite a bit of usefulness in teamfights and if the game stretches into late you can become the full fledged tankko you were meant to be. Albeit if you're used to top lane ekko he wont be as tanky.
This is just a vague description of my experience today. Again im not gonna say im good so it may just seem silly to others. I however enjoyed it quite a bit and feel like there could be some potential to it. Would like to hear from others on this and any stories about a support tankko.
Thank you for your time.
