7.5 Upcoming Jayce nerfs... Why?
I'll start off my saying I am a Jayce main here.
The buffs to Jayce where his passive was like 40%, YES, that was broken, no denying that... that gets nerfed to 25%, which is healthy, Q (melee) damage, meh arguable but ok...
SURPRISE!!! buff luthality, Jayce is still very strong ... nerf luthality, change Black Cleavers build path, Kindel gem and phage... Jayce's win rate starts to lower from 51%, approaching 49% win rate ... ok, he's balancing out.
WHY though, is his Shock Blast damage getting lowered by 20 base damage, and increasing the mana cost? .. WHY? 20 damage not going be that much of a difference, but once the items get changed/nerfed like they will for sure... for example J4... with elder Lizard, he was broken as anything, then got nerfed atleast 5 - 6 times in a row to a point where he was almost unplayable ... later removing Elder Lizard from the game which was the issue, now it's like ... ''uuhhh hello? I kinda can´t clear my jungle without dying'' ... it was the items that were the issue the 2nd time is my point after Jayce got nerfed in 7.3
IF you're going to nerf Jayce at all here I think one main issue here is this ... His Melee Q hit box and it's CD ... NOT his shock Blast damage or mana cost... Like, it's so forgiving to miss, and being able to still hit your target after not being close and then use it again like 3.2 secands later... maybe nerf that instead of nerfing what clearlt isn't the issue here,
I feel like riots balancing team has no idea, why mana cost and shockblast dmg nerf, a super dumb way of nerfing when you can address and nerf an actual issue, Either don´t let him switch every 2 second or nerf Q Melee cd or something like that that would be healthy nerfs imo
